In 2020, the disco-pop single "Dynamite" — BTS's first all-English song — became their first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned a Grammy nomination. "Butter" and "Permission to Dance" followed in 2021, ruling the charts for weeks.
The group also won Artist of the Year at the American Music Awards, becoming the first Asian act to do so.
